1. DESCRIPTION
--------------
REMINDER V2.1 is an events reminder for Win 3.x and Win 95. Ever
forgotten a birthday, a long-standing appointment, your wedding
anniversary? Well, never again if you run Reminder on your machine.
When you boot Windows for the first time each day (or every time if
you prefer), it will pop up a reminder of forthcoming events within
a range you set. AND you can opt to keep overdue items, like
paying bills, on the screen till you've done the deed.

2. WHAT'S NEW
-------------
Reminder retains it's simplicity and ease of use, but adds a number
of new features:

v2.0
 * Now has a SETUP utility to ease installation.
 * Better handling of recurring event types. Will deal with events like
"second Sunday of the month", "first business day every quarter" etc.
 * Popup scan screen can be resized and will retain new size and screen
   position.
 * Scan screen configuration option allows much choice of the way
   your reminder messages will appear.
 * Forms scaled to maintain proportions on displays from 640 x 480 to
   1024 x 768

v2.1
 * Reminder can easily install an icon to your StartUp group
 * Better scan screen resizing
 * some cosmetic changes and bug fixes

3. INSTALLATION
---------------

A) Insert the Installation disk into your floppy drive

B) Run the program SETUP.EXE . SETUP will automatically:

	- create a new Reminder program group (or folder)
	- create icons for Reminder, Scan Mode, Help and Readme files
	- install the required files to a directory of your choice,
	( C:\REMINDER by default )

C) Configure the program. Create a few events ( or open the supplied
REMINDER.REM file ) to get a feel for the program's operation. Size
the grid columns and scan screen, and position the scan and edit
screens to suit your display and tastes. To run the program
automatically at Windows startup ( SCAN MODE ) you will need to
create an icon in your startup group. You can do this easily by
following the instructions in the help file or copying the scan mode
icon from the Reminder group to your startup group.

D) If un-installing is required, simply delete the files Reminder.exe
,Reminder.hlp and Reminder.ini from your system. You will also need
to remove the associated Windows Group.
